Just Better Care Brisbane North is seeking a compassionate and reliable Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our community care team in a casual capacity, supporting participants to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities. This role would suit an EN who enjoys building strong relationships, working autonomously, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of people who are ageing or living with a disability. The successful candidate must be available on weekends and willing and able to travel to the suburbs of Redcliffe, Auchenflower, and Wavell Heights. This role involves travelling between customer’s homes and providing individual and personalised support to customers in accordance with their support plans and/or medical practitioner’s directions.
- Working with or under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Allied Health professionals and medical practitioners
- Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care eg. Palliative Care, Epilepsy, Bowel Care/ Suppositories, Catheter Care, Stoma Care, Oxygen and more
- Monitoring and communicating on the customer’s wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
- Providing assistance with daily living and personal care
- Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines
- Provide coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
- Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Working with Children Check and current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance)
- Smartphone with internet access
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Experience working with people who are ageing or living with a disability (highly regarded)
- Available on weekends and public holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
