We are seeking a talented and dynamic Intellectual Property and Technology Associate / Senior Associate to join our rapidly growing national and international IP practice. Based in Adelaide, the successful candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law and will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and strategic guidance to our diverse and high-calibre clientele.
Typical Work Activities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions to clients on intellectual property matters.
- Negotiate and draft Intellectual property and technology agreements, including commercialisation, research, royalty and licensing agreements, and website/software/application terms and conditions.
- File, manage and prosecute trade mark applications (including oppositions, disputes, sales and licensing).
- Provide advice relating to privacy, financial services licensing, and competition and consumer law, and online content regulation.
- Negotiate and draft general corporate and commercial advice and documentation, including, shareholders agreements, employee share schemes, capital raisings, sales and acquisitions, contractor/employment agreements and NDAs.
Key Attributes:
- Strong understanding (or the desire to develop a strong understanding) of intellectual property laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
- Strong experience in drafting documents.
