We are looking for an experienced and reliable Psychosocial Support Worker to support a participant in the Bankstown area.
Hours: 3 hours per shift, 3 times per week
The successful applicant will have experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability and be confident providing 1:1 support, including:
- Supporting and prompting with self-care and personal hygiene
- Providing verbal prompts, guidance and direction
- Assisting the participant to complete daily routines and task
- Encouraging independence while providing appropriate support
- Supporting community access and participation where required
- Following the participant’s support plan and maintaining professional boundaries
- Recognising and responding appropriately to behaviours or changes in presentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with psychosocial disability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, reliable and proactive approach
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant compliance requirements
- Current First Aid/CPR preferred
