Studio Manager

The Studio Manager plays a critical role in optimising the daily operations of MHNDU. This role supports the studio to run efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with strategic goals by managing systems, resourcing, and operational performance. Accountable for driving operational efficiency across all teams by improving workflows, managing resources, and implementing systems that enhance productivity, cost control, and finance sustainability. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in studio management, practice management, office management or operations, ideally within architecture, design or a professional services environment
- Ownership of a monthly billing cycle end to end, from fee projections through to client invoicing and debtor follow up
- Confidence working alongside Team Leaders to build and maintain project fee projections, and to hold the studio to its numbers
- Facilities and building management experience, including contractors, suppliers, security and access, and workplace health and safety
- Capability overseeing IT systems, including hardware and software procurement, licensing, and first line support for staff
- Proficiency with Xero, Microsoft 365 and practice management software
- Exceptional organisation, sound judgement under pressure, and complete discretion with confidential financial and personnel information
