The Role
The MDM Engineer is a specialist technical role responsible for the design, deployment, management, and optimisation of Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments across 1Solution’s client base. This role sits at the intersection of mobility engineering, endpoint security, and network access control, working across concurrent multi-platform MDM environments for government and enterprise clients.
This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to complex government mobility programmes. You will be expected to operate independently, manage competing priorities across multiple client environments, and contribute to internal knowledge systems and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
MDM Platform Administration
● Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Intune and VMware Workspace ONE (UEM) environments for managed clients.
● Manage concurrent MDM environments across multiple client tenants, ensuring consistency across enrolment, policy, and compliance configurations.
● Administer device enrolment, policy management, app deployment, and compliance frameworks across iOS, Android, and Windows endpoints.
● Build and maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, and automated remediation workflows.
Network Access & Security Integration
● Implement network access controls and conditional access policies aligned to client security policy and government frameworks.
● Support identity-based access through Azure AD / Entra ID Conditional Access policies.
● Collaborate with network and security teams to resolve access control issues impacting device connectivity.
Project Delivery & Governance
● Lead and support MDM migration and deployment projects from scoping through to completion.
● Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, including build guides, runbooks, and change records.
● Engage directly with client stakeholders, providing clear technical communication and escalation management.
● Contribute to governance documentation for complex multi-environment deployments, including risk registers and environment health reports.
Managed Services Support
● Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for MDM-related service desk tickets and client escalations.
● Participate in incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution and root cause documentation.
● Proactively monitor environment health, identifying and resolving issues before they impact end users.
● Support the onboarding of new MDM-managed clients, including environment design and initial configuration.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
