You’re an experienced pavement engineering professional looking to make a real impact, not just on projects, but to leave a lasting legacy by influencing how pavements are designed, delivered and maintained.
As Principal, Pavement Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in advancing pavement engineering practice. You’ll have the opportunity to positively influence project outcomes across design, construction and maintenance, improve standards and specifications, drive innovation and the implementation of new & emerging technologies, and collaborate with industry groups and agencies across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the Director Pavements & Geotechnical Discipline, you will lead a team of specialist staff responsible for developing and providing technical expertise in rigid pavements, flexible pavements, sprayed seals, asphalt technology and pavement performance to deliver cost effective solutions.

About You
You are a highly qualified and experienced pavements engineering professional with a proven track record of delivering practical, robust and cost‑effective pavement solutions. You are equally passionate about building capability within teams and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
You will bring:
Experience in a senior pavement engineering role, providing specialist technical advice and managing technical and delivery risks across complex infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated success in building, leading and developing high‑performing specialist teams, including mentoring and capability development of technical staff.
A strong track record of driving innovation, implementing new ways of working, and positively influencing change.
A consultative and service delivery focused mindset, with the ability to balance technical excellence with project outcomes and constraints.
Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and present clear, compelling arguments and rationales to a wide range of stakeholders and audiences.
