We are seeking a motivated and experienced nursing leader who is passionate about supporting teams and delivering exceptional care.

Applies the NSW Health NUM conceptual framework to critically assess, plan, implement and evaluate culturally safe, evidence based nursing care across the unit.
Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams to support safe, high quality care.
Demonstrates responsibility for their own and the team’s clinical standards, reflective practice, ongoing development and performance outcomes.
Actively contributes to teaching, coaching, mentoring and capability building to strengthen team performance and clinical excellence, lead change, problem-solve effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Practices in alignment with legislation, Standards for Practice, professional codes and ethics, and takes decisive action to address unsafe or unprofessional behaviour, capability building to strengthen team performance and clinical excellence.

Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
Describe a time where you led a nursing team in a complex clinical environment. How did you manage staffing, resources, and service delivery to ensure safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive patient care?
Provide an example of how you have used critical thinking and effective communication to manage a challenging situation involving patient care, staff performance, or conflict. How did you contribute to risk management, quality improvement, or improved outcomes?
Tell us about a situation where you identified unsafe or unprofessional behaviour. What actions did you take and what was the outcome?
