Delour Enterprises is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Scaffolder to run a residential aluminium crew across Brisbane and surrounds.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a scaffolder who already knows the work inside out and is ready to own a site: reading the plan, setting the pace, keeping the crew safe, and getting the job signed off properly the first time.
Early starts, straight Monday to Friday, and a steady pipeline of residential work.
- Lead a small crew erecting, altering and dismantling residential aluminium scaffold systems
- Read, interpret and execute scaff plans — and flag it early when site conditions don’t match the drawing
- Set out and supervise daily work, allocate tasks, and keep the job on program
- Carry out pre-start checks, handover inspections and scaff tags to spec
- Run toolbox talks, drive safe work practices, and make sure SWMS are understood and followed on site
- Mentor apprentices and less experienced hands — build them up, not chew them out
- Liaise with builders, site supervisors and clients on access, staging and timing
- Load, transport and unload gear to and from sites; keep the truck and stock tidy and accounted for
Monday to Friday, 5:30am start. No weekend work as standard. Overtime available and paid when it’s on offer.
Essential
- 5–10 years’ scaffolding experience in the industry
- 2–3 years leading teams on site as a leading hand, supervisor or foreman
- Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence — Basic (SB) minimum
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Proven ability to read and execute scaff plans without hand-holding
- Solid working knowledge of aluminium residential systems and the relevant Australian Standards
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport to site
- Genuinely reliable early starter — 5:30am is the job, not an occasional ask
Highly desirable
- HR (Heavy Rigid) licence for transporting gear to and from sites
- Intermediate (SI) or Advanced (SA) Scaffolding licence
- Working at Heights and First Aid tickets
- EWP ticket
- Above-award rates, negotiable on experience — bring your numbers to the conversation
- Performance bonuses tied to job completion, safety and crew output
- Consistent Monday–Friday residential work, no chasing hours
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance for the right person
- PPE and tickets supported
- Genuine progression toward supervisor and management roles as we grow
- A crew that turns up, does the work properly, and looks after each other
