We currently have an opportunity for a licenced Electrician to join our Health and Education team. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
The purpose of the Electrician position includes (but is not limited to) the delivery of electrical installation and maintenance services to the TAFE Queensland Southbank campus, plant and
equipment, completing all duties in a safe and efficient manner with the ability to meet performance expectations of both Downer and TAFE. All work must be performed and completed in accordance
with best industry practice and provide the best possible outcomes for both Downer and the client.
What You’ll Bring (Certification)
Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Work Licence
Current Queensland Electrical Fitter Work Licence desirable
Current Open Driver’s Licence
Current First Aid, CPR and LV qualifications
Elevate Work Platform licence desirable
Confined spaces certificate desirable
Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment (or willingness to obtain).
What You’ll Bring (Experience)
At least 3 years’ demonstrable post trade experience working in a Commercial and/or Education Facilities
Experience with time management and prioritisation of workload
Experience with Emergency Light Systems (Nexus) desirable
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
Experience with Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS)
Proven experience communicating to employees all levels, customers and
suppliers
Previous experience within a facilities management environment desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering a positive team culture.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a proactive approach to identifying risks.
