Neko Geelong is a vibrant Japanese and Asian fusion café in the heart of Geelong, serving shokupan sandwiches, rice bowls, and modern comfort dishes made with care.
We’re looking for a Casual Kitchen Attendant / Cook to join our team. If you’re passionate about food, reliable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Help with stock rotation, labelling, and food storage
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Carry out other general kitchen duties as directed by the Head Chef
About You:
- Punctuality and reliability are a must
- Previous kitchen or café experience preferred (training provided)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Able to work efficiently in a team and under pressure
- Flexible with availability (weekends preferred)
- Interest in Japanese or Asian cuisine is a plus!
