Make a difference to patient care through nutrition support on the Central Coast. Join our team as a Dietitian Assistant and help deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About the Opportunity
Join Central Coast Local Health District as a Dietitian Assistant and play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred nutrition care under the supervision of a qualified Dietitian.
In this role you will:

Support direct patient care, including nutrition risk screening, meal monitoring and therapeutic menu choices.

Assist with the delivery of prescribed nutrition care and therapeutic diets under the direction of a Dietitian.

Communicate observations and relevant patient information to the Dietitian and wider healthcare team.

Provide administrative support, including data entry, record keeping, telephone enquiries and resource management.

Work collaboratively with Dietitians, Food Services staff and the broader multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a patient-centred approach.

The ability to work independently under the direction of a Dietitian and collaboratively within a team.

Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Computer literacy and experience or knowledge of nutrition and food service systems such as CBORD.
-
A relevant Certificate III or IV qualification (or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer), a current Australian Drivers Licence and a commitment to the NSW Health CORE values.
