If you are a self-motivated and reliable, you could play a key role in maintaining Council's road and infrastructure assets.
Our Infrastructure Maintenance department are looking for a new team member to join a supportive team culture with opportunities to grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a first responder to reactive maintenance requests, including tree removal, pothole repairs, stormwater pit repairs and replacements, and the installation and maintenance of road signage to ensure the safety of road users and the community.
- Undertake the maintenance of Council’s roads, bridge abutments, waterways and associated infrastructure assets in accordance with Council’s Road Management Plan, maintenance standards and service levels.
- Safely operate, inspect and maintain Council plant, tools and equipment, including completing pre-operational checks and supporting plant maintenance and replacement programs.
- Complete allocated maintenance works to the required standard, accurately record activities and traffic management requirements using mobile technology, and assist members of the public with enquiries relating to maintenance operations.
- Implement and maintain traffic management measures to ensure the safe delivery of works for staff, contractors and the public.
- Participate in emergency response activities, including responding to storm events and other incidents that impact Council infrastructure and community safety.
- Maintain flexibility to support other teams and departments across the Council depot as required, including participation in relief and backfill arrangements to ensure continuity of operations.
