Health and Physical Education / Primary - Prep-6 - (Permanent, commence 13/07/2026)
Specialist Health and Physical Education teacher across Prep to year 6. Opportunities to partake in local community sports events, training and assist students at representative sport. Collaboration opportunities are offered with other local sports and HPE teachers. There is a strong sense of morale, support and community spirit for sports in our county town.
A fraction of the role includes flexibility to teach other general or specialist curriculum areas across Prep to Year 6 in our school. This can be flexible and negotiated based on teacher strengths and interests.
The HPE teacher plans the curriculum delivery of the Health and Physical Education learning area of the Australian Curriculum, our whole school sports events such as swimming carnival, athletics and cross country and our whole school Sports rotations which sees our whole staff and students engaging in health and physical activity skills to support and extend the HPE curriculum.
Swimming accreditation is highly valued to support the schools twice a year summer health and water safety program however training and additional planning time is provided to support the role. The HPE teacher receives Specialist Preparation Coordination Time and NCT for a full time HPE specialist role.
