Chef – Sardo Sorrento
Sardo Sorrento is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join our established Italian restaurant located in the heart of beautiful Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
We are a busy, well-established venue specialising in authentic Sardinian and Italian cuisine, handmade pasta, fresh local seafood, premium produce, and high-quality dining experiences.
This is a permanent full-time position with sponsorship available for the right candidate.
Position Details
- Full-time permanent role
- Minimum 38 hours per week
- Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 plus superannuation depending on experience
- Sponsorship available
- Immediate start available
Main Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes
- Manage daily kitchen operations during service
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal specials
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years relevant chef experience
- Relevant trade qualification preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards
- Reliable, organised, and team-oriented
