Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker(s) to join the team, located throughout Queensland.
- 14-year-old male participant.
- Bundamba (QLD) location.
- Monday(s) and Tuesday(s) from 2:45 pm - 4:45 pm (approximate). Possibility of adding Wednesday(s) at the same time or extra support as required.
- Dwarfism and high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience required.
- Requires support with: School drop-off/pick-up, hydrotherapy attendance (Tuesday), after school routines, skill development, socialisation and companionship.
- Participant interests include gaming, animation and similar activities.
- Female support worker preferred.
We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Worker who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients. . Seeking someone that can provide structure and guidance to achieve goals and build capacity. Someone that is responsible, trustworthy, hardworking and genuinely supportive to stay actively engaged with the participant.
Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
- The right to work in Australia.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $72.00 per hour
