Program Area: Communications and Digital Marketing
Purpose / Objective: The Asylum Seekers Centre’s communications team is seeking a volunteer to support the creation of video materials for our website and social media channels. This position is best suited for those who have strong storytelling skills and professional experience in video production who wish to offer their skills and/or services in-kind to help ASC.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality video materials that capture the stories and issues of people seeking asylum and the ASC community (including staff and supporters). Content may include awareness campaigns.
- Manage concept briefs and projects, providing suggestions to the Communications team from pre-production, filming and post production
- Bring your own equipment or work with ASC's available gear to ensure high-quality production values. You will be responsible for camera operation.
- When possible, produce edit downs for social media platforms.
- Project check-ins with Communications team (flexible timing).
Selection Criteria
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with deadlines.
- Excellent video production and storytelling skills. Showcasing a portfolio is essential.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva (desirable)
- Experience in working with people from various backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
- Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriate
- Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality

- Support a child safe organisation by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements and willing to provide NSW police check if requested.
