Are you a skilled air-conditioning duct installer looking for a new challenge? West Coast HVAC, a leading provider of HVAC solutions in Western Australia, is seeking a full-time Duct Install Tradesman to join their team in Wangara, WA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in installing commercial HVAC systems, ensuring our clients receive reliable and efficient comfort solutions. This role involves the installation of mechanical services systems, including ducting, piping and associated equipment for commercial heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
What you'll be doing
- Perform installation of mechanical services systems including ducting, associated HVAC equipment and piping systems for heating, cooling and ventilation applications.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to plan and install mechanical services systems, including ducting and associated pipework.
- Carry out on site measurements, layout and installation of ducting and mechanical services pipework systems.
- Inspect installed systems, including ducting and associated piping, to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Install and connect mechanical services pipework, including chilled water, condensate and associated systems
- Assist in the installation of plant equipment such as air handling units, fans and ventilation systems
- Ensure proper sealing, jointing and connection of ducting and piping systems to maintain system performance
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of installation work completed
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely service delivery
What we're looking for
- Trade qualification in a highly relevant field plus 1 year of post-qualification experience as an air-conditioning and ventilation duct installer in a commercial or industrial setting, or alternatively 3 years of experience in lieu of any formal qualification..
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an air-conditioning and ventilation duct installer in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong technical skills and expertise in the installation of HVAC systems including ducted and large commercial systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and a strong focus on quality workmanship
- A valid driver's license.
