About us:
Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed regional hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient care, including emergency and general medical and surgical services. It is equipped with two acute resuscitation bays and a dedicated treatment area, supported by credentialed medical officers in obstetrics and anaesthetics.
The hospital is backed by a broad range of integrated support services, including community health, radiology, pharmacy, immunisation, child health, drug and alcohol and mental health services, as well as allied health and clinical services such as occupational therapy, social work, pathology, physiotherapy, and oral health. Together, these services enable comprehensive, coordinated care for the local community.
About the role:
Provides advanced rural generalist clinical nursing care, including complex assessment, treatment, and emergency response, often working with a broad scope of practice in a regional setting with limited immediate specialist resources.
Acts as a key clinical leader in a rural hospital team, supporting and guiding nurses and other staff while promoting safe, high-quality, and person-centred care across emergency and general services.
Supports continuity and resilience of rural health services by contributing to clinical governance, policy implementation, and quality improvement in a resource-limited environment.
Plays a strong role in education and capability-building by mentoring and upskilling local nursing staff to strengthen workforce capacity and support retention in rural healthcare.
About you:
Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and a current practising certificate, with postgraduate qualifications in nursing highly regarded.
Strong clinical expertise in general and emergency nursing, with sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies, and contemporary evidence-based practice.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, quality-focused care environment through risk management, safe work practices, and ongoing clinical outcome review.
Strong clinical leadership, communication, and education skills, with the ability to support multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and engage effectively with patients, colleagues, and the community.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $127,842 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
