The MHVCC is offering an exciting part-time opportunity for a recovery-oriented mental health nurse to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Program.
The Registered Nurse will work within strengths-based, recovery-oriented, person-centred, and trauma-informed care frameworks to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services, which includes assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and ongoing review, as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting a low case-volume caseload of program participants. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to innovative models of care and supporting participants to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes in their recovery journey.

Role Requirements
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the following criteria in your application:
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to travel as required in role.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse providing recovery-orientated, trauma informed and person-centred mental health assessment, treatment and management of persons with a mental illness with skills transferable to a community.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Current computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement person-centred practice.
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to consumer care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.
