We are seeking applications for the position of Production Engineer (Mechanical) for our Manufacturing site in Broadmeadows, Victoria. The successful candidate will work in the Engineering and Operations Team on a variety of projects involving in the production and installation of various packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Tronics or a similar range of Labelling machines with testing, troubleshooting and evaluation within a production environment. The candidate will also be able to effectively communicate their ideas to other members of the team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that the machine meets the specifications and requirements of the customers.
- Lead the development and review design, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other documentation as required and includes maintaining updated drawings using CAD.
- Programming, troubleshooting, and setting up machines.
- Provide technical support to the Sales and Service departments.
- Documentation – Create and Maintain accurate documentation for all labelling machined and SOP, Videos, Photos, and processes.
- Review existing process for improvements
- Perform daily QC testing of incoming goods and raising any non-conformances
- Perform machine testing during QC Phase
Skills required to be successful in the above role:
- Engineering Qualifications – An Australian recognized tertiary degree in Mechanical
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, AS4024.
- Proficient with Machine Verification and Validation
- Team player and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication skills – Written, Spoken & Documentation
- Create and maintain Assembly & Operation Instructional documentation for machines
- Anticipating in resolving Production matters.
