PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Inbound Goods Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Stores to ensure that it functions in an efficient and customer service focussed manner, maintaining appropriate stock levels to meet all operational needs. In consultation with the Procurement Manager the Stores Coordinator will provide support and guidance to members of the Stores’ team.
Provide support and assistance to the Procurement Manager with all functions associated with the cost effective and efficient procurement of plant, equipment, parts, materials and services, as required, to enable the optimisation of the site plant, equipment and grounds across all Hazeldene’s sites.
Hazeldene’s is committed to providing appropriate training and support to all of its employees. The Stores Coordinator will actively participate in all training to reach performance objectives as outlined in this Position Description.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactive checking of stock to ensure supplies are maintained at the appropriate levels at all times
- Provision of adequate and correct supplies are available to meet the day to day running of all Hazeldene’s sites and departments
- Assess and order required packaging for the processing plant in a timely and efficient manner, in consultation with the Procurement Manager
- Assess and order required chemicals for the farms in a timely and efficient manner
- Proactively review and source alternative suppliers to ensure purchase of most appropriate product at the most competitive price
- Research and identify availability of alternative or new products to suit business requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely records of consumables ordered, received and distributed
- In consultation with the Procurement Manager provide support and guidance to the Stores’ team to ensure that the daily operational requirements are achieved/exceeded
- Escalate matters beyond day-to-day requirements to the Procurement Manager
- Work as an effective member of the team, including maintaining effective levels of communication
- Undertake duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Manager in the absence of the incumbent
- Other duties as may be requested within the skill level of this role
Quality & OHS Systems
- Be proactive in improving safe work practices and workplace environments by monitoring, applying and promoting Company policies in all work practices
- Understand and implement SOP's consistent with OH&S Policies and Company policies and procedures
- Assist the OH&S function to implement Occupational Health and Safety, aiming to eliminate injuries, and report any incidents and hazards that may occur
- Provide advice and guidance to all staff, Supervisors and Managers in the interpretation of the Quality System and requirements
- Assist in developing and maintaining Quality documentation to ensure current and up to date information is available upon request
- Responsible for performing a designated role in emergency events to ensure the continuity of Hazeldene’s services in the event of an emergency and in the absence of the Procurement Manager
