Capra Coaching offers tutoring for students of all ages, Kindy to Year 12, across a range of subjects, from Maths and English to Physics and Economics. Our tutors are a mix of high-achieving university students and qualified teachers who are passionate about learning and devoted to helping their students thrive academically.
Of course, intelligence is very important in this job but we are also looking for those who have strong interpersonal and communication skills to conduct effective, engaging, and inspiring one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions. Most importantly, we are looking for tutors that truly care about their students and are dedicated to helping them improve their confidence and work towards their academic goals.

We generally look for tutors that:
- have achieved an ATAR (or equivalent) of 95+, OR
- have achieved Band 6 HSC results for their chosen teaching subject(s), OR
- are studying/have recently completed a degree in Education
We are especially looking to recruit tutors who have excelled in Standard or Advanced HSC English, Standard Maths and IB subjects, however we are always looking to add exceptional tutors to our team!
Hours:
You will have the convenience and independence of working in your own private room at our centre in Mosman, which is open Monday to Friday 4pm-8pm and Saturdays/Sundays 9am-5pm. Your students will be coming to you, removing the wasteful hours of travel time which are unavoidable as a freelance tutor and allowing you to tutor more students in less time. We will also handle all scheduling issues, allowing you to focus purely on delivering high quality lessons when at the centre.
We understand the demands of uni schedules so our tutors are free to choose the days and hours they would like to work. We only require a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week. Most of our tutors work around 8-12 hours a week, but this is entirely up to you.
Pay:
Our pay rates are between $35-$50 per hour depending on experience, qualifications and class size, with higher rates negotiable for the right candidate.
