The Opportunity
Step into a hands-on, high-impact role as a McDonald’s Calibration Technician, where you’ll be at the heart of delivering quality and consistency across beverage systems in restaurants throughout the region.
In this dynamic, field-based position, you’ll take ownership of maintaining and optimising equipment performance – ensuring every drink meets the highest standards customers expect. You’ll enjoy the autonomy of working independently while building strong, trusted relationships with franchisees and stakeholders.
This is a permanent, part-time role (32 hours across 4 days), based out of our Richlands site, offering flexibility alongside meaningful, practical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert calibration, servicing, and adjustments of beverage equipment across McDonald’s locations
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes
- Proactively identify and escalate equipment or quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement
- Provide outstanding, professional customer service while building strong on-site relationships
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements
- Manage your service vehicle and parts inventory to ensure operational readiness
- Accurately utilise IT systems for reporting, scheduling, and workflow management
- Collaborate with your manager to develop your technical capability and career growth
- Contribute to team success by sharing knowledge and supporting ongoing improvements
About You
You’re someone who enjoys working with your hands, learning new skills, and solving problems as they come up. Whether you already have some technical experience or you’re looking to grow your career in this space, you’re motivated, reliable, and take pride in doing a job well.
You’ll bring:
- A minimum Cert II in Electrical (a trade qualification in Electrical or Refrigeration is beneficial, but not essential)
- Experience with beverage dispensing systems, post-mix, or refrigeration equipment is beneficial, but not essential - we’re happy to train the right person
- A willingness to learn, develop, and build your technical skills in a supportive environment
- A practical, problem-solving approach and a positive, can-do attitude
- Good communication skills and confidence interacting with customers and team members
- The ability to work independently in a field-based role, managing your time and daily schedule
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and following procedures
- A reliable and proactive approach, with a commitment to delivering great service
