We’re looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly country GP clinic.
Working in a country practice is a little different. Our patients aren’t just names on a screen — they’re families, neighbours and familiar faces. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that personal connection and takes pride in making patients feel welcome and cared for.
If you’re confident with Best Practice, comfortable in a busy medical environment and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming patients and providing warm, personal service
- Managing appointments, phones and patient enquiries
- Patient check-in/check-out and Medicare billing
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Managing referrals, correspondence and recalls
- Supporting our doctors and clinical team
- Helping keep the practice running smoothly
About you
You’ll be:
- Experienced in medical reception, preferably in general practice
- Confident using Best Practice software
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Calm, organised and able to multitask
- Reliable, proactive and willing to pitch in
- Comfortable getting to know patients and building rapport
- Committed to patient privacy and confidentiality
