This opportunity starts with a comprehensive 2-month induction program based in NSW, designed to set you up for success from day one.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Area Manager, you will oversee 9 stores across Western Australia, and take full responsibility for driving commercial performance, operations and team development across your area.
This role is responsible for one of our highest revenue-generating areas in the country and plays a critical part in shaping the next level of leadership capability across our store network.
This is a senior, large-scale leadership position accountable for a $60m+ portfolio across 9 stores (Including new stores opening at Morley and Midland Gate), leading a team of 15 direct reports including an Area Manager for SA/NT.
This territory requires a leader who can integrate commercial intensity, operational discipline, and large‑scale people development.
YOUR MANDATE
- Full commercial accountability across a $60m+ portfolio
- Drive profitable growth across sales, conversion, ATV and payroll control
- Build and elevate high-performance Store Manager capability
- Strengthen leadership bench and succession pipelines across all stores
- Identify underperformance early and execute decisive commercial action plans
- Embed operational excellence and brand consistency at scale
- Partner with national and Support Office leaders to shape area strategy
- Build an area that consistently outperforms market benchmarks
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Commercial Leadership
- Own and deliver area sales, profit and wage budgets
- Analyse financial performance and implement data-led commercial strategies
- Optimise stock flow, sell-through and productivity metrics
- Drive consistent growth against YoY and market benchmarks
- Drive profit protection across shrink control, markdown discipline and stock loss
People & Capability
- Lead, coach and manage a network of Store Managers and an Area Manager (SA/NT)
- Develop future multi-site leaders and succession-ready talent
- Build a high-performance culture with clear standards and accountability
- Make confident talent decisions to protect and elevate performance
Customer & Brand
- Ensure a premium customer experience across all locations
- Protect brand standards and VM execution at flagship level
- Drive customer engagement and service metrics
Operational Excellence
- Maintain strong governance across compliance, health & safety and risk
- Deliver disciplined payroll management aligned to productivity targets
- Ensure operational consistency across diverse, high-volume environments
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven multi-site retail leader with experience across 8+ high-volume stores
- Experience managing a $50m+ turnover portfolio, ideally larger
- Demonstrated history of outperforming sales and profit benchmarks
- Commercially sharp, data-driven and financially literate
- Track record of building high-performance Store Manager teams
- Comfortable operating in competitive, fast-paced retail environments
- Confident making tough decisions when performance demands it
- Experience within sports fashion or high-volume fashion retail preferred
