To support our growing operations, we are now looking for an Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our passionate, high-performing team and help keep our workshop machinery running at its best.
About the role
This is a hands-on role in a busy and fast-moving workshop environment. You will be working with CNC machines, edge banders and other electronically controlled production machinery used in the manufacture of kitchens, cabinetry and joinery products.
You will help maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair our machinery so that our production team can keep working safely and efficiently.
What you’ll bring
- Experience with CNC machinery, edge banders or other production machinery
- Practical experience working with machine control systems, sensors, motors, drives, wiring, control panels and related electronic components
- Ability to collect, record and review machine performance data, fault reports, test results and maintenance records
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when needed
- A practical mindset and the ability to manage changing priorities
- Good attention to detail when recording maintenance work, test results and repair notes
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams and machine instructions
- A reliable, punctual and positive attitude
- A relevant qualification in electronics, electronic engineering, mechatronics, automation, industrial maintenance or a related field, or at least three years of relevant experience
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, edge banders and other workshop machinery
- Conducting tests on electronic systems, machine control components and automated production equipment
- Diagnosing, repairing and verifying faults in electronic and automated machine systems
- Collecting and analysing machine performance data, fault reports, test results and service information
- Identifying spare parts and components needed for repairs and maintenance and estimating material costs and quantities
- Assisting with machine setup, calibration, commissioning and testing
- Inspecting machinery and finished repair work to ensure equipment operates in line with specifications, manuals and safety requirements
- Monitoring machinery performance and helping reduce breakdowns and downtime
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and service notes
- Liaising with suppliers, technicians and parts providers when needed
- Supporting a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment
