Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, resolve and/or take ownership of and manage customer
- faults and queries through to resolution within appropriate SLA and service measures
- Perform troubleshooting across LAN/WAN
- Ensure that all fault tickets are updated fully and appropriately with regard to the issue, troubleshooting is undertaken and outcomes and resolution of the fault
- Deliver high-quality customer outcomes by following all relevant processes and procedures, whilst being prepared and able to think outside the square when required
- Create, design and keep documentation and procedures up to date.
- Effective and efficient management of escalations, both external and internal
- Management of incidents escalated to 3rd party vendors and process partners
- Assist with root cause diagnosis and identification of problem and incident trends to proactively reduce fault volumes Perform research, analysis and design of technical solutions to meet Project requirements
- Provide technical leadership on different projects assisting another member of the team
- Ensure that existing technology investments are optimized if applicable
- Project responsibilities within project planning, work plan development and Resourcing
Who are you
- 5+ years of solid working experience on network infrastructure, implementing and maintaining switches, and routers for large size services providers and/or enterprise companies
- Experience in SP Routing
- Extensive knowledge of IOS-XR and ASR
- Experience in Service Provider projects implementations
- Scripting network automation
- Proficient programming experience in automation using Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar programming languages.
- Australian Citizen and/or Permanent Resident
Technical Skills
- Routing & Switching (EIGRP, OSPFv2, BGP, Policy-Based Routing (PBR), route filtering, redistribution, summarisation, VTP, STP, RSTP+, trunking, VLANs, Layer 3 switches, HSRP, VRRP, EtherChannel, transparent bridging, SPAN, RSPAN, DHCP snooping, inter-VLAN routing, port security, CEF, Private VLANs); Security & Firewalls (access rules, VPN policies and tunnels, NAT/PAT, IPS/IDS); Load Balancing (pools, VIPs, health monitors, session persistence); SD-WAN (Cisco Meraki SD-WAN deployment, configuration and upgrades); Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure – AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-700); DDI (DNS changes, IPAM reservations); Wireless (WLCs, enterprise access points); LAN (Cisco Catalyst switches, ISR routers, ASR routers).
