2KW Bar & Restaurant - Chef
Highway hotel - Chef
This is a full-time position suited to a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality food and service.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
· Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency meet venue expectations
· Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to maintain efficient daily operations
· Monitor stock levels, order supplies and manage inventory effectively
· Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and compliance with food safety and WHS regulations
· Assist in developing seasonal menus and new dishes
· Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices
· Manage portion control and minimise food wastage
· Work collaboratively with management to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
· Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality environment
· Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
