We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support the company's financial reporting, business analysis and financial management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts, financial reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Analyse financial performance, profitability and operating costs across business operations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock costing and landed costs associated with imported products.
- Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for month-end reporting, external accountants and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial controls, reporting procedures and accounting processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation obligations and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Relevant accounting experience in a commercial environment.
- Demonstrated experience using QuickBooks accounting software is essential.
- Strong financial reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, import/export or e-commerce environments will be highly regarded.
- Experience working with inventory-based businesses will be advantageous.
