About the opportunity
Join Energy Safe as a Principal Regulatory Investigations Advisor, where you'll play a key role in shaping and enhancing our investigations function. Reporting to the Head of Investigations, you'll lead the ongoing development of Energy Safe's Investigations Framework, provide expert advice and quality assurance on complex and high-risk investigations, and support informed regulatory decision-making.
Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll drive governance, capability uplift, assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of investigations across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to influence regulatory practice and help deliver safer outcomes for Victorians.
What you'll contribute
- Lead the continuous improvement of Energy Safe's Investigations Framework, governance, and quality assurance processes.
- Provide expert advice and peer review on complex, high-risk, and sensitive investigations, ensuring robust and evidence-based outcomes.
- Partner with investigators, technical specialists, legal advisers, and regulatory teams to strengthen investigative practice and decision-making.
- Support executive and governance reporting by delivering insights on emerging risks, trends, and significant regulatory issues.
- Drive capability uplift through mentoring, guidance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop practical tools, resources, and best-practice approaches that enhance the consistency and effectiveness of investigations across Energy Safe.
