Your opportunity:
You will bring experience in bullying prevention and response, complex case consultation, risk assessment, safety planning and interagency collaboration to support vulnerable students, families and schools.
The role requires the ability to represent the Department of Education as a core member of the Domestic and Family Violence High Risk Team and contribute to coordinated responses for children, young people and families experiencing serious risk.
You will exercise sound professional judgement, communicate with credibility, and build strong working relationships in sensitive and complex matters.
This role will be based out of the Hope Island South East Region office in Hope Island and availability on Thursdays is essential to meet the operational requirements of the role.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide specialist social work leadership within the Rapid Support Team to support students to access and fully participate in learning and experience success and wellbeing through the delivery of evidence-based contemporary social work services.
Work with the Principal Advisor, Rapid Support to deliver timely, coordinated responses for students, families and schools experiencing complex and high-risk matters.
Lead prevention and response to bullying through complex case consultation, relationship-based support for students and families, safety planning, and collaboration with schools and partner agencies.
Provide leadership, direction and support to social workers, allied health staff and school teams in the delivery of safe, high-quality services.
Represent the Department of Education as a core member of the Domestic and Family Violence High Risk Team and contribute to coordinated interagency responses for children, young people and families experiencing serious risk.
Contribute to statewide programmes, policies and practices that strengthen social work service delivery, including prevention and response to bullying.
