Full time position for an Experienced Maintenance Worker.

About the role and where you will be working:
We are currently seeking a full time Maintenance Officer to join our expanding organisation. As a Maintenance Worker you will play a vital role in ensuring our built‑form assets are safe, reliable, compliant, and well‑maintained. Working across our residential aged‑care facilities, you will support the continuous improvement of asset management systems and contribute to the delivery of key infrastructure projects.
You will be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team committed to providing high‑quality environments for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Customer service duties: completing tasks in line with duty statements and schedules, working effectively without supervision, and maintaining buildings, equipment, and facility environments.
General maintenance: performing minor repairs including painting, tiling, surface preparation, paving, concreting, door and window repairs, roof and gutter cleaning, non electrical light fitting replacements, smoke detector and RCD testing, and general building upkeep.
Maintenance request management: reviewing BEIMS requests daily, planning work efficiently, and identifying when licensed trades are required.
Safety and compliance: maintaining safe work practices, using PPE correctly, and adhering to SCCWA policies and OH&S legislation.
Hazard identification: anticipating risks, reporting defects, and contributing to workplace risk assessments and hazard control activities.
Communication and teamwork: engaging professionally with residents, families, staff, and contractors, and supporting a positive workplace culture.
Training and development: participating in mandatory training (manual handling, chemical safety, fire and emergency), and maintaining knowledge of safe work practices.
About you:
You are someone who has experience in maintenance, handyman or trade works and repairs. You are able to communicate clearly with everyone involved in order to ensure the proper upkeep of our facilities.
To be considered for this role you’ll need:
- Atleast 1 year experience as a Maintenance Worker / Officer Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and repairs.

A Valid Driver's License

Commitment to safe working methods and adherence to SCCWA policies.

Strong record‑keeping skills.

High‑level interpersonal and listening skills.

A responsive and proactive approach to work.
