Working a 15:6 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll work closely with project leadership, Supervisors and crews to build a strong safety culture and support the safe delivery of significant bulk earthworks and civil construction activities.

About the role
As a member of the project HSE team, you will work closely with project leadership and site personnel to implement Georgiou’s HSE systems and help create an authentic, high-performing safety culture.
This is more than a compliance role. You’ll spend time where the work is happening, building relationships with our people, providing practical advice and coaching, identifying and managing risk, and helping project teams take genuine ownership of safety.
Depending on your level of experience, you’ll support or take greater ownership across HSE systems, risk management, investigations, reporting, coaching and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Promote and influence a positive, high-performing safety culture across the project
- Provide practical HSE advice, coaching and support to project leadership, Supervisors and crews
- Maintain and support the implementation of project HSE management plans and systems
- Lead and participate in risk assessments, risk register reviews and critical risk management activities
- Review SWMS, subcontractor work methods and HSE systems prior to and during construction activities
- Support the preparation and delivery of toolbox meetings, pre-starts and other HSE communications
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes, corrective actions and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Monitor project HSE performance, KPIs and trends and support accurate client and internal reporting
- Ensure project risk management systems, including permits and traffic management requirements, are maintained to a high standard
- Build effective relationships with project personnel, subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders
- Coach project teams in their HSEQ responsibilities and support the development of strong safety capability
- Ensure HSE information and data is accurately maintained within Georgiou systems, including Beakon
Your skills and experience
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor or Senior HSE Advisor within civil construction, mining or resources projects
- Strong practical knowledge of construction safety and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and positively influence safety behaviours across site teams
- Experience leading and participating in risk assessments, SWMS reviews and incident investigations
- Experience preparing HSE reporting information for project leadership and clients
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems and legislative requirements
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to site safety
- Occupational Health & Safety qualification or equivalent
- Formal First Aid qualification
- Construction White Card
- Valid C Class driver’s licence
- Previous Pilbara and FIFO project experience will be highly regarded
