About the program
In partnership with the South Australian Office for Women, Centacare delivers Haven services in selected regional communities. The Limestone Coast Haven, based in Mount Gambier, serves as a central hub for women and children experiencing domestic, family, and sexual violence. By providing access to information, support, and integrated services, the Haven ensures timely, coordinated, and person-centred responses that meet individual needs.
The Role
As a Haven Community Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting victim-survivors by building community awareness, strengthening local service networks, and fostering coordinated responses to domestic, family, and sexual violence.

You will also play an important role in engaging and supporting volunteers who help drive local Haven activities and initiatives.
The key duties in this role will include:
-
Promote community awareness of domestic, family and sexual violence, and the role of the Haven within the local community.
-
Deliver community education sessions, presentations and information sessions to community groups, service providers and stakeholders.
-
Identify service gaps, emerging trends and community needs, and provide feedback to support service planning, development and advocacy initiatives.
-
Foster positive working relationships between volunteers, WIS and community stakeholders.
-
Contribute to initiatives that strengthen local service coordination and improve outcomes for victim-survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence.
