The Role
Harrisdale SHS is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Education Assistant – Mainstream to join their team of dedicated staff.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. The successful applicant will ideally be organised and able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment, as well as being able to collaborate and work in a team environment. You should possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, along with the ability to support the general health and wellbeing of students.
Working under teacher direction in a diverse role, Education Assistants will also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. Managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs is an important aspect of this role. Experience in facilitating literacy and/or numeracy intervention programs, such as MaqLit andBack-to-Front Maths would be well regarded.
