The Role:
The Assistant Director of Human Resources is the second-in-charge of the HR function, working closely with the Director of Human Resources to deliver Hyatt's people strategy while leading the day-to-day HR operations and team. The role is responsible for ensuring HR services support the hotel's business objectives, maintaining compliance with employment legislation, and fostering an engaged, high-performing workforce.

You will need to use your skills and experience as a HR leader to adapt to a range of queries and requests and work comfortably managing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Director of Human Resources to align HR initiatives with business goals and Hyatt standards.
Lead, coach and develop the Human Resources team
Support leadership development through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and learning initiatives.
Drive colleague engagement by analysing engagement surveys, exit interviews and implementing retention strategies.
Support Work Health & Safety initiatives and ensure compliance with Hyatt and legislative requirements.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, payroll audits, visa requirements and labour supplier governance.
Our preferred candidate:
Will have operational hotel knowledge in an upscale property and at least 1 year experience in a senior HR role
Has excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
Has comprehensive knowledge of HIGA and FWA
Has RTW coordinator certification
Has full working rights for Australia – sponsorship is not available for this role.
