Builure Services Pty Ltd is an Australian AI and integration consultancy delivering enterprise integration programs across financial services, insurance, government, and education.We're scaling our MuleSoft practice and looking for a hands-on MuleSoft Integration Architect to own the design and delivery of API-led integrations on a flagshipengagement with a Tier-1 Australian consulting partner. This is a senior, client-facing role within a mature integration environment. You'll set the engineering standards, govern the architecture, and stay deep in the code — workingalongside architecture, platform, security, and engineering teams to build reliable, scalable integrations across Salesforce, Azure, databases, and internal/external APIs. This role isMelbourne-based (hybrid as required).
Key responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deploy API-led MuleSoft integrations using Mule 4.x — focused on reliability, scalability, and maintainability- Architect APIs using MuleSoft's three-layer model (Experience, Process, System)- Build and maintain integrations across Salesforce, Azure, databases, and other SaaS systems- Configure Anypoint MQ queues and guarantee reliable message delivery between systems- Implement pagination and efficient data-processing techniques for large datasets- Secure APIs using OAuth 2.0 and JWT, integrating with Azure Key Vault and Salesforce- Implement advanced error handling — retry logic, dead-letter queues, and robust logging- Develop complex DataWeave transformations and write MUnit tests to maintain high coverage- Build and improve Git-based CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Maven) for automated deployment across Dev, Test, SIT, and Prod- Provide architecture governance and code reviews, and represent Builure Services in client architecture reviews
What we're looking for:- 8+ years of MuleSoft integration development experience, with proven architecture/design ownership and 12+ overall integration experience.- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA) or Platform Architect (MCPA) — current certification (mandatory)- Strong hands-on development across Mule 4.x and the Anypoint Platform- Proven API-led integration using MuleSoft's three-layer architecture- Anypoint MQ configuration and large-scale data integration- Integration experience across Salesforce, Azure, and other SaaS systems- Complex DataWeave transformations and pagination for large datasets- OAuth 2.0, JWT, and modern authentication patterns- Experience building complex integrations with 10+ endpoints- CI/CD for MuleSoft using Git-based pipelines (GitHub Actions, Maven)- Excellent stakeholder communication — comfortable in front of client architects and program leads- Must be Melbourne-based with full Australian working rights
Nice to have:- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 / Level 2 (MCD)- CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, and hybrid Anypoint experience- Flex gateway experience is preferred.- Message brokers — Anypoint MQ and Azure Service Bus- Financial services, insurance, or regulated-industry integration experience- Agile delivery experience and API governance/security best practices This is a great opportunity to lead a high-impact integration program within a growing consultancy, working on meaningful enterprise transformation with modern engineering practices.
