About the Role
As a Junior Mail & Parcel Sorter, you'll support both our front counter and back-office operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve sorting, organizing and preparing mail and parcels, with opportunities to develop customer service skills and learn counter operations over time.
Availability Required
- Monday to Friday
- Between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm
A Typical Day May Include
- Sorting, organising and labelling incoming mail and parcels
- Preparing outward mail for dispatch
- Assisting staff at the counter (training provided)
- Assisting with stocktaking, record keeping and other administrative tasks
- Maintaining a clean, safe workplace and following Australia Post's Workplace Health and Safety standards
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, reliable and eager to learn
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for most of their shift
- Able to safely lift and move mail and parcels weighing from 100 g to 22 kg
- Flexible to work additional hours or adjusted shift times when required
