The Role
The Head of Engineering - Applied AI owns V2’s engineering capability end to end. The technical standards our squads run on, the platform and accelerators they build with, and the development pathways for our forward deployed engineering team.
This is not a delivery-management role. Squads own their engagements; you own what makes every squad faster, safer, and more consistent than the last one. You set the AI-native development lifecycle (AI-DLC) and agentic engineering standards every squad follows, build the reusable asset base that turns one-off wins into repeatable delivery, and grow the engineering organisation ahead of demand.

AI Engineering standards. Every squad runs on a common AI-native development lifecycle and agentic engineering standard, how we design, build, evaluate, govern, and ship AI systems.

Platform and accelerators. The reusable asset base: accelerators, reference architectures, and shared tooling that any squad can pick up and deploy, so each engagement starts from production-grade patterns rather than a blank page.

Capability and certification. Certification pathways and structured Dojo tracks that take engineers from onboarding to AI-native mastery.

What Success Looks Like

AI-DLC and agentic engineering standards adopted by every squad, with certification to back it.

An accelerator or reference architecture behind each of our core offers, reused in every engagement, measurably compressing time to production.

An engineering organisation for 200+ engineers, with clear Dojo tracks from entry to expert.
Role Requirements

A track record leading 100+ engineering organisation in a highly regulated environment through rapid scale, ideally in consulting, professional services, or high-growth product environments.

Deep, current technical fluency in modern AI systems: GenAI, agents, evaluation, AgentOps, and the lifecycles that take them to production.

Experience building reusable platforms, accelerators, or internal developer platforms that other teams adopt because they work, not because they’re mandated.

A builder’s approach to capability: certification, coaching, and structured development at scale.
