We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in financial reporting, process improvement, and supporting data-driven decision making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and substantiate Balance Sheet accounts and departmental revenue streams
- Assist with statutory and management reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
- Support Accounts Payable and provide technical accounting guidance
- Contribute to ATO reporting (BAS, Tax Returns, FBT)
- Develop and enhance operational and financial reporting, with a focus on automation
- Prepare sales commission statements and new business reporting
- Support audits, including preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors
- Monitor cost and revenue performance and drive continuous process improvements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and CapEx planning
- Support accounting standards implementation (AASB 15 & AASB 16)
- Contribute to commercial finance initiatives (e.g. invoicing automation, contract management)
About You
- Experience in finance/accounting roles with exposure to reporting and financial close
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge (GL ownership, statutory reporting)
- Advanced Excel skills with financial modelling capability
- Experience with Power Query, M, or DAX highly regarded
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
