Requirements:
- Experience in dog care and handling - especially dog behaviour body language in order to avoid confrontations between dogs to ensure our utmost priority of their wellbeing.
- Be available to work for shifts during our daycare hours: Tuesday-Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm
- Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated work ethic
- Current driver's license
- Understanding of force-free, fear-free methods https://www.westfordcogoldengrove.com.au/
- Proficiency in managing diverse dog energies and proactively adjusting to dynamics as they change
- Must have current Australian work authorisation
Responsibilities:
- Supervising, engaging, and monitoring dogs
- Implementing basic training and manners
- Documenting and sharing dog content on social media
- Utilising force-free, fear-free methods
- Maintaining facility cleanliness and hygiene
- Recording daily dog behaviour and well-being
Qualifications Preferred, Experience Essential:
- Completion of animal-related qualifications (e.g., Cert 3 Companion Animal Services)
- Minimum 6 months of experience in companion dog industry roles (e.g., daycare, grooming, boarding, training, vet nursing)
Certificate III in Animal Care Services, Companion Animal Services, Captive Animals, or any animal-related Certificate
