Jones Street Surgery is seeking a dynamic Casual Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team in a well-established general practice in Balcatta, with an immediate start available.
The successful applicant will have significant customer service experience, preferably in a medical practice environment with experience with Pracsoft and Medical Director, an ability to multitask and a reliable and reassuring manner.
This is a casual position, with shifts offered based on the needs of the practice. Flexibility to cover weekdays and leave relief is highly desirable.
Task and Responsibilities
- General medical reception duties and administration duties including answering incoming calls, checking in patients, confirming appointments
- Assist patients with various enquiries
- Liaise with other healthcare providers
- Billing and receipting of consultations
- Fostering professional working relationship with team members, patients and other medical staff
- Maintaining compliance with organisational policy and procedure
Core Qualities
- This is a casual position with regular Wednesday shifts. Additional shifts may be available to cover annual leave and periods of increased demand.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills
- A genuine interest in meeting patient needs with a professional and caring approach to all patients and members of the practice team
- Excellent work ethic with an ability to undertake all duties in a diligent and positive manner
- Punctual and reliable
- Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy and be prepared to double check
- Be willing to work both cooperatively and independently
- The ability to communicate in Cantonese/Mandarin is an added advantage
Previous experience in healthcare is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Pay: From $29.00 per hour
