Yeshivah – Beth Rivkah Colleges is one of Melbourne’s leading Jewish day schools, educating 1,050 students and employing more than 400 staff across two Primary and two Secondary campuses, an Early Learning Centre and a Crèche.
The College is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead its non‑educational operations and strengthen the organisational backbone of the school.
Reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with the Board, the COO will provide strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Facilities, ICT and Digital Learning, Marketing/Fundraising and Fees. The role carries responsibility for financial governance, operational strategy and statutory reporting, ensuring these functions operate cohesively and support the College’s long‑term direction.
The COO will drive major strategic initiatives, enhance organisational capability and position the College for long‑term sustainability and growth. This is a full‑time, ongoing executive appointment, with an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Key Areas of Oversight:
- Financial strategy, statutory reporting, budgeting, treasury and capital management
- Facilities, capital works and security
- ICT infrastructure and cybersecurity
- Fundraising, Marketing, communications and brand
- Administration, fees collection and procurement
- Risk, compliance (non-educational) and audit readiness
What You'll Bring:
- Senior leadership experience across finance and organisational operations in a complex environment
- CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent), with a tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, business or finance
- 7+ years' senior leadership experience, including direct responsibility for the finance function of an organisation with $20M+ revenue/budget
- 5+ years' senior operational leadership (facilities, security, ICT or administration), ideally in education or not-for-profit
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships
- Strong stakeholder and Board-level communication capability
- Respect for the Orthodox Jewish ethos and values that guide the College community
