Join our team as a Paddock Supervisor
Flegler Group is looking for a reliable and experienced Paddock Supervisor to join our team at our Tully Gorge Road farm. This is a hands-on paddock role. This is not a stand-back supervisory role — you will be expected to supervise staff while also doing the work yourself.
Applicants must be able to carry out desuckering, deleafing, stringing and fruit picking.
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic and reliable person to fulfil a Paddock Supervisor role. Reporting to management, you will assist with daily paddock operations, supervise staff in the field, and work directly with the team to complete farm tasks safely and efficiently.
You will be reliable and able to consistently turn up to work.
You will communicate well and be confident managing a team in the paddock.
You will be keen to work with a company that pays above award rates and is safety conscious.
- Supervise and support paddock staff in daily operations
- Work hands-on in the paddock alongside the team
- Carry out and oversee desuckering, deleafing, stringing and fruit picking
- Help maintain productivity, fruit quality and safe work practices
- Assist with training, direction and day-to-day coordination of workers
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Implementation of safety processes in accordance with WHS Qld
- Previous paddock or farm supervisory experience preferred
- Strong practical experience in banana paddock work
- Ability to lead from the front and work alongside staff
- Good understanding of quality, productivity and safety expectations in the field
- Must be able to perform desuckering, deleafing, stringing and fruit picking
- A can do attitude
- Reliability, trustworthiness and tidiness are highly valued
- Good communication skills
