Support Worker Opportunity – NDIS Participant Labrador

HomeCare Australia is seeking a compassionate, reliable and proactive Support Worker to assist an adult participant on the Gold Coast to live safely and independently at home following a significant health event.
About the Role
Working one-on-one, you will support a participant who is rebuilding independence following a stroke and lower limb amputation. The participant also experiences epilepsy and communication challenges (aphasia), so patience, clear communication and a calm approach are essential.
Duties
· Personal care and support with daily living activities
· Community access and transport to appointments
· Support to build confidence and independence
· Encouragement with therapy goals and meaningful community participation
· Prompt reporting and detailed case notes
· Working collaboratively with allied health professionals and the HomeCare Australia team
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience supporting people with neurological conditions or acquired disabilities (highly regarded)
· Is patient, calm and an excellent communicator
· Can adapt their communication style to suit individual needs
· Has strong observation skills and follows care plans carefully
· Is reliable, professional and passionate about person-centred care
· Has a current Driver Licence, reliable insured vehicle, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR and relevant clearances

Pay: $45.24 – $50.00 per hour
