DIDO Occupational Therapist – Casual | Belong OT Wheatbelt Region, Western Australia
About the role
Belong Occupational Therapy is a mobile occupational therapy practice based in the Wheatbelt. We work with children and families across a wide rural catchment - including Narrogin, Corrigin, Lake Grace, Kulin, Hyden, Kondinin, Yealering and surrounding communities, providing meaningful, relationship-centred support through NDIS funding.
We're looking for a casual OT who genuinely loves working with kids and families in rural settings, values a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach, and wants to be part of a small, connected team doing important work in communities that need it.
This role suits someone based in Perth who's looking for a flexible DIDO arrangement, or someone already living regionally who wants consistent, purposeful work close to home.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting paediatric and adult assessments and developing individualised therapy plans for children and families with a range of developmental, sensory, and functional support needs
- Delivering direct therapy and consultations in schools, homes, and community settings across the Wheatbelt
- Writing clear, strengths-based NDIS reports and clinical documentation
- Collaborating with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic support
- Contributing to a positive team culture and sharing knowledge with allied health assistants and students
What we're looking for:
Mandatory
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- A valid driver's licence
Strongly Recommended
- Experience in paediatric OT (new graduates with relevant placement experience are welcome to apply)
- Genuine enthusiasm for rural and community-based practice
- Strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming clinical approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel across our rural catchment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
