Yard Hand - Yennora
Initial 3-month opportunity (view for ongoing full-time role)
We are currently seeking a casual Yard Hand to join our client's operations team in Yennora. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse, production, or machine operating experience who is looking for a hands-on role in a safety-focused environment.
Shift times are yet to be confirmed, but will likely fall within an intermediate roster such as
11:00am-7:00pm. Some Saturday work may be required.
The Role
In this position, you will play a key part in daily operations, ensuring products are filled, checked, and delivered safely and on time. Your work will directly support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing pre-trip checks and vehicle condition reports
- Filling cylinders according to daily orders
- Operating test stations as required
- Sorting, inspecting, and labelling cylinders to meet safety and quality standards
- Loading pallets and trucks for delivery to branches, depots, and customer sites
- Completing required paperwork and documentation accurately
- Participating in training sessions and team activities
- Supporting general warehouse and production duties as needed
We're looking for someone who brings:
- A valid forklift licence with at least 6 months experience
- Experience in a safety-focused industrial, production, or warehouse environment
- Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, storage, or transport (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to follow procedures accurately
- A reliable, disciplined, and team-focused approach
