About this Position:
The Property Officer plays a key role in the administration and coordination of Council's land and property portfolio. Reporting to the Property Services Lead, this position supports the delivery of property and tenancy services across a diverse range of Council-owned, managed and leased assets.
You will manage a variety of property activities, including leases, easements, acquisitions, disposals, and road closures, ensuring all transactions are prepared, documented, and registered in accordance with legislative requirements and Council policies. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret land information, titles and statutory frameworks.
Working with internal teams and external stakeholders, including community groups, tenants, contractors, and government agencies, you will coordinate property transactions, provide advice on public land management, and ensure accurate property records are maintained.
This role suits a property professional who enjoys practical delivery, working through detailed processes and navigating legislation, while contributing to efficient, compliant, and well-managed property outcomes for the community.

What you will need to be successful:
- Experience in property administration or land management, ideally within a public or regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, or the ability to quickly build capability across property and land frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, particularly in managing documentation and multiple processes.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Full position description:
Full-Time: 70 hours per fortnight.
Salary: A salary range from $89,267 to $102,657 per year + superannuation.
