About the role
The Digital Project Manager is responsible for planning, delivering, and closing technology projects that support Council’s strategic objectives and service delivery outcomes. The role leads cross-functional project teams, manages schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards. Working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal digital teams, the role translates business needs into practical, fit-for-purpose technology solutions.
The position also ensures projects comply with Council governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory obligations while promoting continuous improvement and value for money.

Remuneration
$122,063.24 pa - $137,420.92 pa + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading end to end digital related projects of medium to large scale in a complex, multistakeholder environment (ideally including public sector or local government contexts).
- Proven ability to deliver to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality, with evidence of benefits realisation and effective handover to BAU.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across executive sponsors, business units, Digital Services, and vendors; able to facilitate workshops, manage competing priorities and drive decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear status reporting, governance papers and audience‑appropriate briefings.
- Broad understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, infrastructure and SaaS to translate business needs into practicable solutions.
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent, Microsoft 365, SharePoint; familiarity with Azure DevOps beneficial).
