The role
Your role will be to support all activities related to stock management and movement,
including picking stock for the service team, and assisting with processing ingoing and
outgoing stock.
Additionally, we will provide training for you to develop technical skills, so you can
assemble products required by clients, such as slings and other chain assemblies, and
ensure quality and safety, by testing lifting and rigging gear. Over time, further
progression into technical services will be an option for the right candidate.
Working as part of a supportive branch environment, where everyone is willing to pitch
in to make sure customer needs are met, you will support the person primarily
responsible for day-to-day warehouse activities; helping operations to run smoothly.
The work is typically Monday to Friday, but overtime and weekend work may also be
available from time to time, paid at penalty rates.
A snapshot of the role includes:
- Day-to-day activities of stock management (goods receiving, unloading, picking &
packing, dispatching).
- Regular stocktake and inventory activities.
- Liaising with our inventory, customer service, and service departments as needed,
along with customers and transport providers.
- Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and organised state.
- General warehouse duties including maintaining a clean workplace.
- Ensuring clear and accurate records are maintained in both ERP and testing
systems.
- Once appropriately trained, assembly, manufacture, repair, and testing of new and
in-service lifting, rigging and height safety equipment.
